Sodexo is seeking a Food Operations Manager (II) to support our Sodexo Senior Living properties in the Northeast. This position willinclude support of theUnited MethodistCommunities(UMC) accounts& other accounts in NJ, NY, & CT. Position requires 100% travel and ideal candidate will be located 50miles froma major airport.

Responsibility: day to day unit operation, food production, service and quality standards, regulatory compliance, Position will lead the management teams in; dining room operations, staff training (5 STARS, CARES, customer service), point of sales management, retail operations, Sodexo/UMH system standards (marketing, catering, customer service), district safety coordinator, program implementation (6 in 60, mindful, Sodexo marketing kit, theme meals, events) and system support to all five communities.

Potential for work schedule to be 10 days on with 4 days off. This is a great opportunity to learn Sodexo systems while being considered for permanent placement in our Senior Living Division.This is a Temporary (Regional Operations Support ROS) that may runfrom 6 months up to one year. Temporary positions are not permanent positions and once hired into this role, you will need to post to positions of interest in order to be considered for a permanent position.

Ideal Candidate Skills, Certification:

Formal Degree/Trade School Certificate and Servsafe Certificate

Experience with systems & standards: Contract Food Service Management

Detailed knowledge of HACCP and Department of Health Regulations

Ability to manage Sodexo financial and procurement systems

HR skills; train & develop front & back of house teams

Computer skills: Sodexo Food & Labor Management Systems

Computer skills: financial & procurement software and Menu Graphics

Experience: high volume food production & catering, restaurant service

Dynamic leadership skills to drive outcomes that exceed client and resident expectations

Position Summary

Manages all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and directly supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree

Basic Management Experience - 2 years

Basic Functional Experience - 4 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
