Unit Description

Sodexo Corporate Services is looking for a Relief/Floating Chef Manager to join our team. The Relief/Floating Chef Manager will be based out of Nashua, NH but will cover up to 24 different locations within 60 minutes of Nashua, NH. As the Relief/Floating Chef Manager you will be responsible for covering chef managers on vacation, workman's comp, and FMLA. Additional responsibilities will be hands on cooking, completing menu planning, financial information, prepping, station cooking, full client interaction, cash handling, ordering and managing staff.

Position Summary

Supervises cooks and oversees the preparation, portioning, garnishing, and storage of food. Estimates food consumption and purchases food. May assist in cooking and preparing food as necessary. Responsible for maintaining kitchen and storage facilities in sanitary condition. Responsible for cash management. Interacts with client/customers on a regular basis. This position is the leader for an account/unit chef/production group. This position is in smaller accounts/units where there is not a Executive Chef or Food Production Manager. Reports to General Manager.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree

Basic Management Experience - 1 year

Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
