Sodexo is seeking a Food Services General Manager 3 for our campus account located at Northwood University located in Midland, Michigan. With a city population of 80,000, Midland is located 30 minutes from Saginaw, MI. Northwood University is a Mid-sized College atmosphere with a 3 year old resident dining facility with an all you care to eat dining room, retail location with Starbucks we proudly serve, some concessions, and oversee Catering on the campus. Northwood has a overall population of 1,500 students with over 650 living on campus. We have several different serving platforms in our dining facilities. Reporting to the DM, successful candidate will oversee a MV of $2.3MIL and have over-site of up to 75 associates in a mixed workforce of Full/Time, Part/Time and student associates in a union environment.
We are looking for candidates who will:
have oversight of day-to-day operations;
deliver high quality food service;
achieve company and client financial targets and goals;
develop and maintain client and customer relationships;
develop strategic plans;
create a positive environment; and
ensure Sodexo Standards are met.
The ideal candidate will have :
previous success managing in a Sodexo high volume University, Hospital or Business Dining program
solid foundation on Sodexo systems,
a strong focus and passion for food - Retail, resident dining and catering.
customer service focus with strong relationship skills with Client, Customers, and Employees.
Experience with food and labor management systems;
Strong in financials; including writing and managing budgets;
Passion for client and student engagement and customer service;
Union experience preferred!
