As our Food Operations Manager, you will manage a best in class dining experience for the patients at Rideout Memorial Hospital. Your success will be measured by your ability to:

  • Manage the timely and accurate delivery of patient meals

  • Conduct daily patient rounding’s to monitor and evaluate overall patient satisfaction levels

  • Effectively manage a high volume patient tray line operation

  • Regularly analyzes patient satisfaction data, financial results, and implements additional measurements and action plans in these areas to achieve optimal unit performance.

  • Ensures compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards.

  • Exceed Sodexo standards for Gold Check audits

The ideal candidate has recent experience managing a food service program, understands the importance of patient satisfaction, is able to evaluate and recommend improvements and quality assurance programs targeted to help improve customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include: participation in and directing the patient meal operation; daily meal rounding and interaction with the patients, their families and the nursing staff; ensuring proper meal assembly procedures & staff training and provide the highest levels of patient satisfaction.

Position Summary

Assumes General Manager’s (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence in complex multi-functional accounts. Has direct client contact on day-to-day issues. Develops and Implements plans under the direction of a GM 5 or higher. Manages through managers. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Responsible for financial/HR functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree

Basic Management Experience - 3 years

Basic Functional Experience - 4 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
