Candidate must possess a high level of technical troubleshooting skills and the ability to make decisions regarding repairs and service of customer equipment. Will also need excellent customer service/time management skill along with the capability to communicate effectively both in written and verbal manner with customers regarding services performed and with internal and external customers, vendors, and colleagues. Ideal candidates will have proficiency servicing GE Monitoring Equipment, Lab, X- ray, ultrasound and general biomedical equipment.

Under minimal supervision of the General Manager, Clinical Technology Management (CTM)/Site Supervisor, inspect, repair, maintain, and calibrate all types of basic clinical equipment, devices, system, and instruments. Interact on a routine basis with other clinical health providers in the identification of technology-based problems and solution development. A BMET III represents the highest level of technical expertise and possesses the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the full range of clinical inventory devices, instrumentation, and systems. The BMET III will possess a substantial background of knowledge and experience and is expected to contribute to: corporate initiatives regarding improvement and development of policy and procedures; technical guidance in the selection and installation of medical equipment and systems; and staff development and mentorship. The BMET III will work toward status of a Site Supervisor or GM, CTM by attaining significant proficiency in supervisory and administrative skills leading toward leadership positions.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement -Associates Degree in electronics, biomedical engineering, or related field.
Basic Management Experience - 1 year
Basic Functional Experience - 3 years in electronic, mechanical, or electro-mechanical repair.
