Unit Description

Sodexo is seeking an experienced Food Production Manager to support the Nutrition Services department at HealthEast St. John's , a 225 bed hospital located in the Twin Cities area. The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of 3 years of food service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting and experience with food production, ordering and inventory. This position will be responsible for implementing and maintaining Sodexo food procurement, production and safety standards. The Food Production Manager will manage a team of 8 union front-line staff and will work a schedule that will include some evenings and rotating weekends. The selected candidate will have demonstrated training skills, attention to detail, solid computer skills and the ability to be a productive team member.

Position Summary

Plans, directs and coordinates the activities of food production employees. Responsible for the purchasing and receiving of food and supplies, as well as monitoring the inventory. Maintains food production records/cost indicators. Plans and costs menus.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree

Basic Management Experience - 1 year

Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
