This requisition will fill two opportunities located in either the Mankato or Rochester MN regions.

We have an exciting career opportunities for a Food Operations Manager in a Healthcare setting in either the Rochester or Mankato, MN region. This is a 6 month to one year position.

Reporting to the District Manager, our Food Operations Manager will support our food service operation, patient dining program, internal catering services and food production. Responsibilities and key expectations for this position include:

  • Lead the front line staff in providing an exceptional customer service experience every day

  • Ensure consistency in food quality and presentation to all customers served

  • Implement new programs and systems to support our food service operations

  • Maintain HACCP and safety standards for the operation

  • Maintain Sodexo's cash handling standards, accounting, and reporting processes

  • Help promote and drive wellness program menus and offerings

  • Partner with frontline staff to enhance engagement and develop their skill sets

  • Ability to build and maintain strong client and customer relationships

  • Integrate fully within our client's organization becoming a trusted advisor and member of the accounts leadership team.

  • Must meet (or exceed) Sodexo standards of operations.

  • Successfully motivates and manages team in a fast paced environment.

Qualifications for the Operations Manager include experience in patient services, retail food service operations and catering services experience. Prior food service experience in a high volume healthcare environment preferred. Position requires an individual with exceptional drive and initiative, excellent communications skills and computer literacy. HACCP knowledge and ServSafe certification required. This is the perfect opportunity for candidates with high level management experience in fast paced and high volume accounts who may be ready for a General Management role, or who have previously been in a General Management role. A successful candidate in this role will have the opportunity to be considered for regional promotions in the near future.

Position Summary

Manages all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and directly supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree

Basic Management Experience - 2 years

Basic Functional Experience - 4 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
