Come be part of Sodexo's fastest growing dining divisions! Seeking an Executive Chef for a $4M+ dining operation in downtown LA. As an Executive Chef you will lead the culinary services team in a hospital facility. Through your experience and expertise, you will implement and support all food related programs at the location including the food production of patient/resident meals, guest/employee retail operations, doctor’s dining (where applicable) and catering functions. Your duties also include menu development, inventory, ordering/purchasing, food cost controls, training, sanitation, and personnel management. In your day to day responsibilities you will ensure compliance with regulatory standards and work toward improving systems and processes. This position reports directly to the Director/GM.

Additionally you will :
• Train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise/coordinate all related culinary activities.

• Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food, select, and develop recipes, standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality, establish presentation technique and quality standards, plan, and price menus.

• Ensure culinary equipment are properly operated and maintained .

• Oversee special catering events and may also offer culinary instruction and/or demonstrate culinary techniques.

• Supervision of kitchen personnel with responsibility for hiring, discipline, performance reviews

• Coordinate activities with other internal departments and participate in management team meetings.

•Interface with vendors and key service users within client organization.

This is generally a Mon-Fri position with limited weekends/nights.

Position Summary:
Designs, supervises, coordinates and participates in activities of cooks and other kitchen personnel in the largest accounts or in an account requiring a highly skilled Executive Chef. This position is recognized as the technical expert, teacher and trainer for other chefs and cooks within the account. Selects and develops recipes and other items for clients. Develops menu, implements and trains HACCP, oversees/purchases food, establishes production levels and inventory controls, interviews and hires new chefs, manages/controls food cost issues and offer solutions, may train other chefs outside account. May cook selected items, and plan or price menus. Typically has chefs and cooks reporting to this position.
Qualifications &amp; Requirements:
Basic Education Requirement - Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree
Basic Management Experience - 3 years
Basic Functional Experience - 4 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.

The unit produces 14 Million Pounds per year operating 2, 8-hour shifts.
Position Summary:
Number two position at the laundries facility. Responsible for laundries, engineering and transportation. Assumes GM's responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Supervises managers. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.
Qualifications &amp; Requirements:
Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED
Basic Management Experience - 1 year
Basic Functional Experience - 1 year of production experience
