We have an exceptional career opportunity for a Food Operations Manager in Los Angeles, CA.

This is an ideal role for someone who is passionate about wellness and nutrition and who is looking to bring a high level of expertise and leadership ability in a healthcare foodservice environment. The Food Operations Manager will manage our At Your Request room service program for patient meal delivery and will work closely with the Clinical Nutrition team which includes diet review, menu development and managing day to day operations.

The ideal candidate is a Registered Dietitian with patient food service experience and has a strong knowledge of nutrition in a healthcare environment. Preferred candidates will have a demonstrated ability in team building and leadership.

As our manager, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the patient food service program with an active role controlling food, supply and labor. Position will also be responsible for the supervision of patient hospitality employees, and providing high level of customer services. Additionally you will be responsible for the overall operation of the patient tray line to include tray assessments, quality assurance, gold checks, meal rounds, scheduling and training and development of 40 employees. The ideal candidate has previous experience in healthcare food service as well as knowledge and understanding of managing Sodexo’s Health Touch room service software. Reporting to the General Manager, the ideal candidate for this position will have previous experience in managing a unit, training and developing a frontline staff and strong interpersonal relations.

Position Summary

Number two position at an account/unit providing two or more core services (facilities/engineering, food or custodial). Assumes GM's responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Supervises managers in multiple service areas. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree

Basic Management Experience - 4 years

Basic Functional Experience - 4 years work experience in facilities (e.g., maintenance, plant operations, engineering services, grounds, custodial/environmental, or transportation) or food (e.g., food services or operations, concessions, retail sales, store operations, or vending) services
