Sodexo Corporate and Facilities Management Services has an exciting new opportunity for an Appearance Care Director for a potential client in Los Angeles, CA; with a background in managing a high volume area, management skills, strong client relations, setting the vision, culture and standards with the team for a showcase client location for janitorial/facilities services.

Manages the Appearance Care services of a high volume airline terminal at LAX. Floor care is a critical aspect of the responsibilities of Sodexo. The expectation is to delivery club class service with strong attention to detail in all terminal areas.

The Director's overall responsibility is for the appearance care of a high-volume airport public area, restrooms, food court, trash services, high cleaning, bussing and tidiness of food court, hiring and monitoring performance of staff, interacting with guests and client, managing the financials, labor cost, budget preparation, supply management, inventory, floor maintenance including buffing/waxing/cleaning/vacuuming services, managing safety program, and managing the care and supervision of heavy floor cleaning equipment and high dust lifts.

Looking for the right individual that will not only deliver on the technical aspects of the facility but will lead and motivate a team to achieve a high level of accomplishment while innovating solutions and additional service opportunities working with the client organization and the Sodexo Vice President of Operations.

Experience managing janitorial services at a high level is a plus

Position Summary

The Director of Facilities Operations is responsible for directing facilities maintenance operations of building(s) and property at a single unit. The Director of Facilities Operations manages the preventative maintenance and reactive repair of skilled trades, e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical, utilities; and manages the hiring, training and supervision of staff, professionals and management. The Director of Facilities Operations manages a safe and efficient working environment, essential to the performance of the business. The Director may oversee minor construction work and manage other core Sodexo services, and or logistics of business/operations services, e.g., grounds keeping, laundry, food, security, inventory, mail, and concierge services.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement- Associate’s degree

Basic Management experience- 2 years

Basic Functional experience- 2 years
