Responsibilities:

As an integral member of the Sodexo team, you must contribute to the provision of

quality catering and housekeeping to health and safety guidelines and working

regulations at all times.

Duties:

  • Manage, supervise and motivate Sodexo team/staff by providing training and counseling to promote 100% work efficiency daily.

  • Ensures that procedures, instructions and policies given by the management are clearly understood and implemented and monitored in his area of responsibility

  • Utilizes resources available, work as effectively and efficiently as possible to ensure the service is provided to the agreed standards Ensures that the objectives and targets set by the management are met.

  • Maintains accommodation areas in a clean and sanitary condition at all times

  • Supervise the following areas: food, cleaning, laundry and general services.

  • Enforce company ethic codes.

  • Cleaning, buffering, hovering, sweeping and washing floors, walls and ceilings to be carried out in accordance with company procedures and safe systems of work to the contract specified standard, and recorded in the cleaning schedules

  • Ensures all laundry is done to clients satisfaction and contract specification

  • Ensures chemical store is kept clean and tidy

  • Accompany supervisor on daily and weekly inspections of areas of your responsibility

  • Maintains cleanliness of all catering equipment

  • Ensures kitchen and all its equipment are maintained in a clean and hygienic manner

  • Ensures mess is kept clean at all times

  • Assists in the preparation and serving of meals

  • Ensures adequate supplies of cutlery and crockery are available throughout service times

  • Ensures adequate supplies of galley equipment are available to chefs

  • Manages the pot wash area

  • Assists in unloading containers

  • Ensures deep cleaning program is in place and adhere to it

  • Notifies line supervisor of any defects or maintenance requirements within areas of responsibility

  • Ensures all duties and responsibilities are undertaken in full compliance of the Health and Safety at Work Act

  • Reports all accidents and injuries

  • Reports any incident of fire, loss, damage, unfit food, and other irregularities and take such action as may be appropriate

  • Embraces industry training and development and culture by

  • Attending Client and Company training courses as deemed necessary

  • Fully support and participate in all Client and Company safety initiatives

  • Manage waste segregation in accommodation areas

  • Carry out additional duties and any other tasks within your competency, such as the unloading of containers, which form part of the company service to the customer, as requested by the manager

  • Participates in periodical inspections and contribute to the process of identifying and implementing improvements

  • Identify personal training needs

  • Ensures the personal working hygiene standards meet both the company and statutory requirements

  • Communicate with colleagues and supervisors with regard to routine information

  • Report any customer complaints immediately and take the necessary action if appropriate

  • Communicate with clients with regard to routine information

Qualifications:

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • High School diploma / G.E.D. equivalent

  • Minimum of 2 years related work experience

  • Minimum of 1 Year supervisory/managerial experience

  • TWIC card required

  • Servsafe Manager's Certificate (National Restaurant Association)

  • Ability to work regularly and reliably performance of following the tasks and ability to follow the commands required for this position under the supervision of manager and/or supervisor.

  • Ability to travel offshore and be able to work and live in close quarters.

  • Ability to maintain a positive, teamwork driven attitude.

  • Ability to tolerate stress, be flexible and work with other staff as a team

  • Must have good decision making/achieving solutions and leadership skills

  • Exhibiting high standards

  • Have basic knowledge of food safety and occupational safety

  • Possessing basic knowledge in the safe and proper use of household pesticides and cleaning chemicals

  • Exhibiting cooking and baking skills

  • Ability to perform mathematical functions

  • Communicating skills both verbally and written in a concise manner

  • Leads, Mentoring and good personnel management skills

  • Good organizational and supervisory skills

  • Must have high levels of experience in commercial and financial awareness in order to manage budget

  • Customer service experience is a requirement in order for 100% effectiveness with dealing with clients

  • Good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft word program

Working conditions:
