Sodexo Government North America is seeking an experienced Human Resources Support Specialist in Guam.

Sodexo has an excellent opportunity for a part time HR Support Specialist for the District in Guam. In this role, you will be responsible for the administrative duties supporting an hourly staff of approximately 210 employees. Responsibilities will include: answering of phones, file maintenance, record retention, payroll and special projects as assigned.

The successful candidate should possess at least 2 years Administrative/HR Generalist experience, computer literacy, the ability to work collaboratively with several managers in the workplace as well excellent interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills. General knowledge of labor laws and benefits would be a plus.

The HR Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Ability to communicate proper policy and procedures to employees in a timely and efficient manner

  • Staying current with Sodexo HR changes in policy and procedure

  • Managing the payroll process

  • Handling multiple, competing priorities within the prescribed timelines to meet project deliverables

  • Providing misc. support to the district as necessary

The ideal candidate will have the following preferred background/skillset:

  • 2-4 years’ experience, preferred in Human Resources related field

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work individually and with others

  • Strong time management skills and ability to effectively resolve problems

  • Experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint

  • Strong focus on customer service and demonstrated experience serving clients & customers


Position Summary

Provides field HR Managers and corporate staff with relevant HR statistical information and analysis. Processes payroll and is a resource regarding the utilization of the payroll system to area HR Managers and their assistants. Completes special projects based on business needs regarding human resources data and analysis. Works under general supervision.

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED
