Unit Description

Sodexo Corporate Services is looking for a Food Operations Manager 1 to join our team at our showcase account Tishman Speyer in Greenwich, CT. This location has approximately 1100 people in the building. The Food Operations Manager 1 will be responsible for managing the contract service for the cafe and catering operation. This position will manage up to 7 employees with a managed volume of almost $1 million annually.

The Food Operations Manager will have an direct active role in managing the daily operations related to retail, finance, cost controls, customer service, and provide strategic leadership to exceed customer and client expectations. Culinary background a plus.

Position Summary

Assumes General Manager's (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence in complex multi-functional accounts. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Responsible for financial/Human Resources (HR) functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree

Basic Management Experience - 2 years

Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
