We have an exceptional career opportunity for a Food Operations Manager 1 to join our team at North Canyon Medical Center in Gooding, Idaho.

Reporting to our General Manager, you will lead the food service team members in managing our retail café operations and patient dining program in this 25 bed critical access hospital. As our Food Operations Manager you will be responsible for maintaining high customer satisfaction and driving retail food sales. Responsibilities include:

  • Oversight of the retail café and patient dining program

  • Cash management and accurate reporting of retail sales activity

  • Managing the daily food production including production planning and controls

  • Ensuring Sodexo Culinary Standards including recipe compliance and food quality

  • Consistently focus on achieving high patient satisfaction scores

  • Labor and food cost controls and compliance

  • Inventory management

Qualifications for the Food Operations Manager include current/prior FOH and BOH management experience in a healthcare environment, food production planning management and food cost management experience, computer literacy, full HACCP knowledge and ServSafe certification. Position Summary

Assumes General Manager's (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence in complex multi-functional accounts. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Responsible for financial/Human Resources (HR) functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree

Basic Management Experience - 2 years

Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
