Unit Description

Sodexo has an opening for a Senior Benefits Analyst – Retirement Plans position with our Corporate Human Resources group in Gaithersburg MD (preferred), Allentown PA or Buffalo NY. The position will be responsible to oversee plan administration for our 401(k) and Deferred Compensation plans. The Senior Benefits Analyst will work as the point of contact for non-qualified and 401(k) plan questions, will research employee issues, perform plan accounting reconciliations and work on special projects for the team. Please note this position requires a high level of mathematical responsibilities. Candidates must have strong working knowledge and be comfortable using mathematical principles on a daily basis.

The ideal candidate will have the following preferred experience/skillset:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience with non-qualified and 401(k) plans

  • Advanced excel knowledge (i.e. formulas, data validation, etc.)

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

  • Strong analytical, reading and writing skills

  • Knowledge of basic accounting and mathematical principles

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work in a fast paced environment and be detail oriented

  • Bachelors degree (preferred)

Position Summary

Responsible for various functions related to benefit programs. This may include benefit planning process, day-to-day administration of employee benefit programs, vendor selection and performance, administering leave plans, and vesting dates. Responds to escalated Customer Service concerns. Benchmarks Sodexo benefits against the marketplace. Performs cost/benefit analysis of current and proposed plans and makes recommendations for plan modifications. Coordinates program implementations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - High School diploma or GED

Basic Functional Experience - 2 years of Benefits, Health & Welfare, or Retirement experience
