Sodexo currently is seeking a Director of Marketing for our Seniors segment, with a national focus on accelerating growth in facilities management (FM) . The Director of Marketing will be responsible for the design, development, and deployment of a multidisciplinary offer of integrated quality of life services. This position will work closely with Service Operations in specifying the offer needs of the Seniors segment as well as with Operations and Sales teams to advise on account growth strategies, improvement of client loyalty, promotion of Sodexo’s brand, and tracking of field deployment.
Solid understanding of FM or multiservice operations and experience in FM marketing is a requirement. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, with strong project management and communications skills.
This is a virtual (home office) position. Travel is required, estimated at up to 40%, for meetings and support to operations and sales.
Technical Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify the portfolio of offers that support the Seniors market and its targeted subsegments.
Define the organizational model (governance, management, process), the economic model (costing and pricing), and the contractual elements of an integrated FM offer as well as soft and hard FM offers for the Seniors market.
Articulate the value of the offer (promise, profits, evidence) and the value proposition.
Make marketing strategy recommendations that improve sales and profitability or add new opportunities for service, utilizing information from consumer insights, market research, sales, and units.
Implement and execute strategies that result in the achievement of sales, market share, and market growth targets.
Monitor and advise on expectations of consumers and clients, market and industry trends, competitor strategies, and Sodexo's strategy toward addressing those trends.
Manage the deployment of new services and offers, as well as marketing communications.
Translate major new directives into goals for the function.
Modify team activities and procedure to be consistent with major new directives.
Prepare marketing reports, briefings, and presentations.
Seek out and use ideas, opinions, and skills from diverse and various sources and individuals throughout the organization.
Ensure confidentiality of proprietary materials and information.
Adhere to ethical, organizational, and professional standards.
Monitor and support the use of Sodexo management systems and Sodexo programs.
Basic Qualifications / Experience:
Experience in managing and marketing FM services
Ability to manage and lead complex projects
Advanced computer skills in Word, Power Point, and Excel
Virtual communications skills via WebEx, Lync, and audio conferencing#LI
Develops marketing strategy for a specific geographic area within a Division. Works with operational constituents to develop programs that ensure optimum sales and profitability. Responsibilities include market analysis, growth strategy, strategic positioning of marketing initiatives, client retention, competitor analysis, and new sales strategy. Develops training programs to educate field on marketing tools and build skills. Works with operations personnel to integrate concepts into portfolio, targeting appropriate customer segments. Meets with clients to present retail strategy in conjunction with market research findings. Manages a marketing staff.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field
Basic Management Experience - 3 years
Basic Functional Experience - 5 years of experience in retail, marketing, or operations
