The Coordinator will effectively serve as a point of contact for events such as caterings, reservations, bookings and other services. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but Sodexo may identify other responsibilities of the position. Serves as a point of contact for reservations, bookings, equipment, catering and other such services.
Communicates to internal and external clients.
Performs some administrative tasks such as arranging meetings, developing agendas and preparing progress reports.
Coordinates logistics, setup/knockdown and on-site problem resolution.
May assist in daily coordination of projects, including preparing and maintaining project plans, budgets and staffing requirements.
Tracks progress and identifies/resolves obstacles.
Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.
Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
Attends training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated.
May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
0 to 2 years related experience.

Sodexo Universities Services is seeking a Unit Marketing Coordinator to oversee the food service marketing program at Fort Lewis College located in beautiful Durango, CO! This position supports the on-campus dining team by creating, customizing, implementing and presenting marketing plans, strategies/programs, visual merchandising and managing social media related to the dining program.
In this role, the Marketing Coordinator interacts with internal team members, media and public relations personnel through social media, client stakeholders and customers in the formulation of promotional plans of action. This person will have a high level of customer contact and must be comfortable assuming a leadership position during promotional events and presenting/speaking to students, parents, faculty and staff. This position requires strong presentation skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The ideal Unit Marketing Coordinator will be experienced in marketing, creative, highly proficient in Microsoft Office, a strategic thinker, flexible, a team player, able to work well in a campus setting and interact with students to create a positive overall experience with dining services. Must have high energy, the ability to relate to our students, and possess great communication skills, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills. Experience with all types of social media marketing and website content management a plus. Experience with food service operations is also a plus.
Assists with marketing efforts at the unit level, including designs, develops and refreshes visual merchandising. Assists with unit marketing plan development, implementation, communication and evaluation.
