Sodexo Campus Dining has an opportunity for a Resident Dining Manager at St. Ambrose University, a leading, private Catholic University located in Davenport, IA . We provide innovative, exciting and appealing cooking and catering for students, faculty and staff as well as presidential events and weddings. St. Ambrose University has a student population of approximately 1600 residential students and serves approximately 1000 for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You will have face to face contact with students, staff and faculty. This individual will come highly recommended as a skilled and experienced manger with a passion for food and the drive to be successful.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • High-volume, quality-focused food service management experience, preferably within a campus dining setting.

  • Exemplary communication skills with the ability to lead a team.

  • Strong organizational skills; detail-oriented and task focused.

  • A very hands-on cooking and training approach.

  • Experience in successfully controlling food and labor costs.

  • Strong computer skills.

  • Strong HACCP training skills.

Position Summary

Provides supervision for multi-functional food service areas at an account/unit to ensure client satisfaction and retention for the Company. Contributes to account revenue and operating profit through the implementation of Sodexo programs while executing against Standard Operating Procedures.

Key Duties

  • Maintains and develops client relationships and customer satisfaction for multi-functional food service areas to ensure account retention and positive public relations

  • Establishes and maintains a safe work environment

  • Supervises day-to-day work activities by delegating authority, assigning and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards

  • Utilizes Sodexo resources and programs to ensure operating standards and regulatory requirements are met and employees have the necessary equipment and inventory

  • Manages by providing positive and constructive feedback to employees in order to reward, coach, correct and motivate in order drive a high-level of employee engagement

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent

Basic Management Experience - 1 year
