Sodexo , leader in quality of daily life solutions has a great opportunity for an Executive Chef at Doctors Hospital of White Rock in Dallas, TX. This unit and Sodexo Food and Nutrition in the greater Dallas area and is well known in the community as a community partner. With 240 beds and about 240K in retail volume we need a outstanding retail manager to propel our program forward.
Reporting to our General manager, you will lead the retail operation and will plan, organize and manage the daily cash handling and menu for the retail areas. Our Retail Manager will be responsible for 10 employees, retail volume, some catering responsibilities and being a great member of the team. Responsibilities include:
Managing the daily food process in the Cafe including planning and controls
Ensuring Sodexo Culinary Standards including recipe compliance and food quality
Understanding of Retail systems for food accounting and menu
Menu development and inventory management
Proper food safety and portion control
Qualifications for our Retail manager include prior management experience in a high volume health-care environment, strong food production planning management and food cost management experience, computer literacy, full HACCP knowledge and ServSafe certification. Maintains food quality and customer service in a cash handling retail food operation that includes branded concepts, in-house formats and signature designs. May assume General Manager's (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/Human Resources (HR) functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED
