In this 302 bed unionized, full-service unit, this position will be the liason with patients between food service and housekeeping to assess levels of patient satisfaction. Position reports to food service GM, but must work with ES GM as well. Successful candidate should have a food and ES background. Will have some opening and closing shift responsibilities in food service. Will also be responsible for customer service training. Primarily goal of position is to help drive patient satisfaction, perform service recovery functions as necessary and keep food service and ES teams apprised of patient satisfaction issues. Must be able to communicate effectively with nursing, physician and Sodexo staff. Must be able to work rotating weekends and holidays. This is a management position with full benefits. Position Summary: Provides direction, guidance, and supervision/direction of patient hospitality employees at patient care units. Serves as senior and primary representative of patient care activities. Position takes an active role in finance/cost controls of patient meal services. Manages initiatives for job redesign and process improvement, including interdepartmental improvements with nursing staff. Qualifications & Requirements: Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED Basic Management Experience - 2 years Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc. Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
