Custodial Services Duties and Responsibilities:

 Cleans classrooms, dormitories, laboratories, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.

 Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors.

 Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, chalkboards and draperies.

 Washes walls, ceilings and woodwork. Wash windows, door panels and sills.

 Empties wastebaskets, empties and cleans ashtrays.

 Transports trash ands waste to disposal area.

 Replenishes bathroom supplies.

 Replaces light bulbs.

 Change linen as required in residence halls.

 Transports equipment or tools between buildings.

 Moves and / or sets up tables and chairs as required.

 Responsible for building security via signing in/out of keys to assigned buildings and insuring buildings are secure/doors locked and lights off prior to leaving assigned work area.

 Report damage, vandalism and thefts.

 Responsible for the proper care and upkeep of all equipment used in the course of completing assigned tasks including tools, machinery, materials and vehicles.

 Excellent interpersonal skills for daily interaction in a courteous manner with teammates, students, professors, visitors, campus and other Sodexo associates.
