Sodexo is currently seeking a Retail Manager 3 for Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The Christ Hospital is a top ranked hospital. It is a 500 bed facility with a retail volume of 3.5 million plus annually. Off-site business includes a café in the corporate office and a 40 bed full service satellite location opening January 2018. In addition, Sodexo is operating At Your Request patient meal delivery program, a Doctor's Lounge and over 1 million in Catering volume.Non Union environment (100 FTE's including managers).
The successful Retail Manager will have experience and proven results in, the following areas:
Leadership: Ability to effectively manage and communicate with Retail Staff, Key Personnel, Management Teams along with a passion and dedication to be “one of the best”. Candidate must be highly engaged and extremely hands-on in day to day operations.
Training: Must be able to articulate, demonstrate and uphold operating standards and expectations for the frontline staff through hands on training, coaching and follow up.
Financial: Ability to manage and demonstrate proven results with food costs, labor and controllable expenses.
The ideal candidate will have:
3 - 5 years prior experience managing in a fast paced, high volume cafe
Able to remain calm and focused in a highly demanding environment, understands and is able to meet the operating standards and expectations
Focus on customer service excellence
Demonstrated experience providing strong leadership, including supervision, direction and training, to a diverse team of employees
Focus on food and physical safety and sanitation
Experience managing food and labor cost controls to meet targets
Responsible for food quality & customer service in an operation that may have branded concepts or other retail offerings. Directs the work of hourly and supervisory food service workers, as well as other managers.
Ensures there is a zero harm mindset for ourselves, our customers, our food & employees.
Directs daily operations of food quality & customer service in a retail food operation that may include branded concepts ensuring that employees have appropriate equipment, supplies and resources.
Manages cash handling protocols & control procedures according to Sodexo policies.
Maintains client satisfaction for food quality & customer service.
Accountable for the execution of service quality by maintaining the highest level of delivery.
Supervises day-to-day work activities of food service workers, supervisors & managers.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience – 1 year of work experience in concessions, retail sales, or store operations
