Sodexo Healthcarehas an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Dietitian to join our team as a Patient Services Support Manager in the Charlotte, NC area for the Carolinas HealthCare System. CHS includes 19 acute care facilities and four skilled nursing sites. This position requires travel throughout the Carolinas HealthCare System facilities, all located within 1 hour of downtown Charlotte. Main focus will be centered around patient service excellence and regulatory compliance.

This Regional Operations Support position will provide growth opportunities and may last up to one year. The position may lead to permanent assignments as openings occur. The selected candidate is encouraged to apply for permanent positions while in this position.

Reporting to the District Manager, the Patient Services Support Manager will:

  • Be a Registered Dietitian.

  • Play an integral role with a mission to exceed patient satisfaction through the application of Sodexo programs.

  • Provide diet education and training for staff and managers.

  • Conduct audits and ensure allergy compliance on trayline.

  • Oversee meal rounds and diet office.

  • Implementing the new guidelines, such as dysphagia guidelines and educating the staff.

  • Engage with nursing staff and build relationships – nursing unit rounds.

  • Work closely with other Clinical Support Managers.

  • Directly manage staff in absence of Unit Manager.

  • Implement tasks on corrective action plans.

Position Summary

Provides comprehensive nutrition assessments and care planning for patients/residents. Plans special diets and supervises their preparation. Instructs patients/residents and/or hospital personnel in principles of nutrition and modifications of normal diet. Performs routine care responsibilities without training and direction.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree

Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian.
