Sodexo Healthcare is seeking a Patient Services Manager (II) for Carolinas Medical Center (CMC) in Charlotte, North Carolina . This is the 874 bed flagship hospital of Carolinas Healthcare System. This position reports to the General Manager and is responsible for; assisting with the management of 75 employees in the operations of an “ Expressly for You ” meal service program, oversees kitchen organization, interacts daily with patients and nursing with a mission to continuously improve the dining experience and satisfaction.
The ideal candidate skills, experience:
Implement performance improvement and quality assurance programs
Monitor patient tray operations and daily meal rounding
Interact with patients and the nursing staff
Perform tray assessments, training, stocking/inventory of the floors
Perform some HR functions and direct supervision of hourly associates
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Previous experience working in a high volume facility
Additional Job Responsibilities include:
R esponsible for the success of the Patient Services area and patient food production
Ensures the foundational requirements of the “ Expressly for You” are being followed
Responsible to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of meals and snacks to patients
Conducts patient rounding with patients and nurses
Responsible for identifying process improvement initiatives and overseeing the implementation
Ensures employees demonstrate active customer hospitality toward both clients and customers
Integrate within our client’s organization by becoming a trusted adviser with a customer service focus
Responsible for driving patient satisfaction results
Ensures compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards
Must meets (or exceed) Sodexo standards of operations
Creates a positive environment and successfully motivates and manages the team
Schedule will vary and include shared weekends & holidays

Provides direction, guidance, and supervision/direction of patient hospitality employees at patient care units. Serves as senior and primary representative of patient care activities. Position takes an active role in finance/cost controls of patient meal services. Manages initiatives for job redesign and process improvement, including interdepartmental improvements with nursing staff.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
