Seeking Retail Food Service Manager for a growing account. Are you ready to enjoy a Monday - Friday schedule (6AM - 4PM)?
Sodexo on the campus of our long tenured account at UMass Boston , located in beautiful Boston, MA, is seeking a dynamic Retail Food Service Manager who will be part of a team that oversees a large dining operation of $7MIL. Total sales volume for all Retail Dining at UMass Boston is $5.3M. Daily responsibilities include proper cash handling, scheduling and training of retail staff, ordering, inventory for each location, customer service/adherence of brand standards and marketing using all Sodexo tools available. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this Retail Manager is responsible for all proper banking procedures at all locations and the exceptional day to day service of retail to our students, faculty and staff. This position oversees up to 70 union associates. You will have the opportunity to assists in other areas of campus dining when needed.
The best qualified candidate will have the following :
College/University retail food service management experience;
Experience with multi-unit, quick-service food outlets ,
Food brand experience is a plus!
Experience training and leading a retail food staff ( union experience is helpful );
Experience with cash handling and training;
Experience with ordering and inventory practices;
Knowledge of food and physical safety programs;
Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus but not mandatory.

Maintains food quality and customer service in a cash handling retail food operation that includes branded concepts, in-house formats and signature designs. May assume General Manager's (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/Human Resources (HR) functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years of work experience in concessions, retail sales, or store operations.
