Sodexo is seeking a experienced manager for a Patient Services Manager position at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. This 642 bed hospital is a large Harvard teaching hospital located in downtown Boston, MA. In this role, you will direct and participate in all of the daily patient services operations, utilizing "At Your Request" a specialty meal program. You will work among 20 Sodexo managers in the food management team, experienced chefs, dietitians and operations managers.
Reporting to the Food Service Operations Manager, the ideal candidate will:
Have healthcare management experience.
ServSafe certified and well-versed in regulatory and sanitation practices
Work closely with the team on quality improvement initiatives.
Work with the other Patient Service Managers with the goal of enhancing the patient experience.
Regularly analyze patient satisfaction data and implement additional measurements and action plans in these areas to achieve optimal unit performance.
Precept hospital dietetic interns, summer youth interns and other community program students and volunteers
Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills.

Provides direction, guidance, and supervision/direction of patient hospitality employees at patient care units. Serves as senior and primary representative of patient care activities. Position takes an active role in finance/cost controls of patient meal services. Manages initiatives for job redesign and process improvement, including interdepartmental improvements with nursing staff.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
