As our Director of Supply Management Sustainability you will play a critical role in achieving our goals and commitments by providing procurement expertise and strategic direction contributing to our 10 year sustainability roadmap also known as our Better Tomorrow Plan at .

More specifically, this role will:

  • Proactively create strategic play books which include cost, availability, reputational and other implications of the top 20 most likely public relations issues related to sustainable supplies.

  • For any initiative in consideration, scope deployment, availability and cost implications to include in existing or new offers.

  • Quantify near term and long term PR opportunities and risks associated with supply management policies and actions.

  • Provide support to operations leaders and clients regarding sustainable supply management questions including support of new business requests.

This position will require stellar communication skills including the ability and willingness to present on a variety of sustainability topics to both internal and external audiences.In addition, our selected candidate will have the ability to work cross functionally across a global and highly matrixed organization.


We prefer that this role offices out of our Gaithersburg location, however, we are open to considering candidates located in the Northeast Corridor or Mid-Atlantic States.


This position requires approximately 25% travel within the US with limited global travel as needed.

Position Summary

Develops and manages Sodexo's Key Performance Indicators for measuring our sustainability, community and overall corporate citizenship performance including the performance of our supplier network. Leads the overall development of Sodexo's reporting for activities in North America in manners consistent with the Global Reporting Initiative and develops systems of measurement to support Sodexo's engagement in national and global climate change and sustainable development efforts.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's degree

Basic Management Experience - 3 years

Basic Functional Experience - 5 years of experience conducting trainings
