Sodexo Government North America is seeking an experienced General Manager 4 at Beale AFB in California. Beale is rich in culture and history and is considered across America as the most popular show place in the United States Air Force, housing the most technologically advanced equipment and aircrafts in the world. It is located approximately 13 kilometers (8 miles) east of Marysville, California.

Sodexo has changed the dining experienceby addinga food court concept featuringfresh and innovative offers to include freshly prepared entrees, Mongolian grill, made to order grill offers, pizzas, deli and salad bar.Our program focusses on freshness and health for our airmen and civilian guests.

The GM will report to the District Manager and will have three salaried managers and 65 employees with a managed volume of 3.5 million.

Our ideal candidate will have exceptional leadership skills and demonstrated expert knowledge in the following areas:

  • Strategic thinker to connect best practice solutions to proactively serve client challenges

  • Ability to drive and execute processes

  • Strong financial acumen to effectively manage portfolio’s P&L

  • Project & Contract Management experience

  • Ability to support and build relationships with clients, employees and the local community.

  • Keen awareness of employee performance management and development

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to interact successfully from frontline employees to high ranking Marines

  • Experience in with high volume food service or Military environment is strongly preferred

Position Summary

Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree

Basic Management Experience - 3 years

Basic Functional Experience - 4 years
