Sodexo is seeking a Dining Room Manager (II) for The Holmstad in Batavia, Illinois . Located on 38 scenic acres in the heart of the Fox River Valley; one of Illinois’ top retirement communities near Chicago, IL. The Holmstad is impressive, inside and out and is home to approximately 450 residents with a range of services from independent living through long term care.
Position is responsible for the oversight of the dining room in the main town center and a satellite dining room, the front-of-house for the Bistro Grille, and will oversees the service and presentation part of catering. Position oversees approximately 35 part time wait staff and will have manager on duty responsibilities as part of a rotation. Position reports to the General Manager and works directly with the Executive Chef to ensure smooth dining service, proper food safety and sanitation, employees scheduling, assistance with catered events and bookings.
Ideal Candidates Skills / Certification:
Computer skills; Microsoft,Scheduling,SDX Menu Graphics
Experience with Gold Check Standards & 5 Star Service Training
Management experience inFine Dining; Restaurant / Hotel
Catering and cash food retail experience
Ability to manage reservations for large events
HR skills to schedule & train35hostesses/wait staff
Servsafe Certified, experience withHACCPmonitors
Some food production experience is ideal
The typical schedule will run 10am-7pm with shared weekends and holidays.

Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED
Basic Management Experience - 1 year
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
