Sodexo is seeking a Retail Manager 2 for a large based Acute care facility in Austin, TX

Sodexo Health Care Services provides essential food and facilities services to hospitals across the country. We have an exciting career opportunity for an Executive Chef at St. David's South Austin Medical Center in Austin, TX.

St. David's South Austin Medical Center is a 289 bed acute care hospital offering comprehensive healthcare and providing leading-edge services in Women's Health, Neurosciences, Oncology, Cardiac Care, Surgical Services, Orthopedics and Rehabilitation.

Position will be responsible for food retail operations and patient tray delivery system utilizing our hosts program, it has one cafe in the hospital. This position will maintain food quality and customer service in a cash handling retail food operation that includes branded concepts, in-house formats and signature designs. This is a fresh inspirations program with very high expectations. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/HR functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.

Responsibilities include: managing and maintaining increasing sales over previous year revenues, managing to Sodexo contract price with retail guarantees contract, training and developing staff on: operational standards, cash handling, and customer service, completing Retail Gold check monthly self audits and maintaining active and aggressive action plans, working closely with Chefs to maintain Mindful and Limited Time Offer Programs.

Requires some experience in a management role in retail food service environment. Receives some coaching/counseling from immediate supervisor, but has more autonomy and opportunity for independent decision making. A minimum of 1 year of supervisory work experience in concessions, retail sales, or store operations.

The Retail Manager 3 requires management coverage every third weekend and alternate Holidays and will have a schedule of Monday through Friday 9:00-5:30 with some weekends .

Position Summary

Maintains food quality and customer service in a cash handling retail food operation that includes branded concepts, in-house formats and signature designs. May assume General Manager's (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/Human Resources (HR) functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED

Basic Management Experience - 1 year

Basic Functional Experience - 1 year of work experience in concessions, retail sales, or store operations.
