Ouachita Baptist University is a private institution with approximately 3500 students. Sodexo provides resident and commuter meal plans, faculty and staff meal plans, as well as cash sale meals. Overall there are approximately 1500 meals served every weekday and 1000 meals Saturday and Sunday. Our goal at OBU is to make the dining experience a fun time for students to enjoy everyday. We incorporate special cuisines, picnics, and holiday themed meals into our menu every month, offering the students a change of taste on a regular basis. Position Summary: Designs, supervises, coordinates and participates in activities of cooks and other kitchen personnel. This position is recognized as the technical expert, teacher and trainer for other chefs and cooks within the account. Selects and develops recipes and other items for clients. Develops menu, implements and trains HACCP, oversees/purchases food, establishes production levels and inventory controls, interviews and hires new chefs, manages/controls food cost issues and offer solutions, may train other chefs outside account.
